The 24th annual World Pumpkin Weigh-off took place today at the Great Pumpkin Farm in Clarence and, once again, the results were over the top!
There were 11 entries this year.

Here are the winners:

• 1st place went to Karl Haist of Clarence Center, NY with a 2,269 lb. pumpkin – a record setter for this event! Karl took home $2,500 PLUS a $1,000 bonus for having a pumpkin that weighed more than 2,000 lbs. (Karl won last year’s competition and set a new NYS record with a 2,027 lb. pumpkin)
• 2nd place went to Andy Wolf of Little Valley, NY with a 1,911.5 lb. pumpkin. Andy took home $1,500 plus a $1,000 bonus for having a pumpkin that weighed more than 1,900 lbs.
• 3rd place went to Tim Bailey of Jamestown, NY with a 1,604 lb. pumpkin. Tim took home $1,000.
• 4th place went to Jeff Podraza of West Seneca, NY with a 1,462 lb. pumpkin. Jeff took home $750.
