Pumpkin Drop and Pumpkin Olympics Highlight This Holiday Weekend

When you drop a 1,000-pound pumpkin from a 50-foot crane, it generates a lot of pumpkin guts and seeds.  But it also generates a lot of prizes for 98 lucky pre-selected Kiss 98.5 listeners who will participate in this weekend’s Great Pumpkin Drop, as part of the Fall Festival at the Great Pumpkin Farm in Clarence.

The Great Pumpkin Drop will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 9. And if you’ve never witnessed a pumpkin dropped from that height, smash to the ground and explode into millions of tiny pieces, make this the year you visit the Great Pumpkin Farm to see it in person!

Visit www.kiss985.com for more information and complete rules.

The Festival extends an extra day this weekend, thanks to the Columbus Day holiday. Monday, October 9 is Wristband Day.  Guests can purchase a wristband for $18 and enjoy unlimited amusement rides from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Other special attractions at the Fall Festival this weekend include:

Pumpkin Farm Olympics Guests can join in the fun individually or as a team for these pumpkin related Olympic Games: Pumpkin Relay; Pumpkin Dash; Pumpkin Leap; Pumpkin Put; Pumpkin Guts; Skeleton Hunt (take turns running into the pile of hay to find a bone; once all the bones are found, the team that put together the skeleton the fastest correctly wins!) and Pumpkin Bowling. All games run from noon to 5:00 p.m.
